Residents returning to Iloilo no longer need to secure negative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results to enter the province.

“Provided that they shall be placed under five-day home quarantine and facility quarantine if the conditions at home are not conducive for the purpose,” Executive Order No. 183-L stated.

On the fifth day of quarantine, according to the EO issued by Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. on March 13, “they shall be subject to RT-PCR test and if the result is negative, they shall be discharged from quarantine.”

“Returning residents discharged upon a negative RT-PCR test result shall be under health monitoring by their respective City/Municipal Health Officers (BHERTs) for the remaining number of days of the ten-day period from their arrival.”

“If the result is positive, or in the event that the returning residents develop COVID-19 symptoms, they shall remain under quarantine and treatment until recovered.”

Meanwhile, returning residents who are able to secure negative RT-PCR test results issued not earlier than 72-hours before their travel to the province “shall not be subject to quarantine provided that they shall be subject to health monitoring by their respective BHERTs for 10 days from their arrival.”

Those who “develop symptoms within the 10-day period, shall be admitted in the appropriate facility for quarantine and treatment until recovered.”

Under the EO, returning residents are only required to secure valid government ID showing proof of residence and notice of coordination (NOC) with the city/municipality of destination.

The entire province of Iloilo is currently under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), the lowest form of lockdown imposed by the government.
