Filipinos are looking forward to hearing the plans of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the inflation, economy and job creation when he delivers his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) this month, a Pulse Asia survey said.

The poll conducted between June 17 and 24, 2024 with 2,400 respondents said that 57% want Marcos Jr. to address inflation, while 36% like to hear the economy being discussed.

Filipinos also wish the President to talk about job creation (35%), West Philippine Sea (31%), graft and corruption (26%), and workers’ pay hike (24%).

Some 21% want Marcos Jr. to tackle the issue of illegal drugs, while 18% think the educational system and peace should be discussed.

Other issues of public concern include restoring unity among national officials (13%), restoring the people’s trust in the government and its officials (12%), and changing the Constitution (5%).

The third SONA of Marcos Jr. is scheduled on July 22 at the Batasan Complex.IMT
