Mayor Jerry P. Treñas is eyeing to put up four more police stations on top of Iloilo City’s six current police precincts.
The plan according to Treñas aims to the ensure peace and order in the city.
The mayor said the additional stations will be established in areas with fast growing population.
“We have four major targeted areas like the ones in Bo. Obrero, Lapuz; Calumpang, Molo; and Sambag and Bito-on, Jaro. Hopefully, we will have additional police stations for the convenience of the public,” Treñas said.
The six existing police precincts are strategically located in centers of convergence and near the plazas of Arevalo, City Proper, Jaro, La Paz, Mandurriao and Molo.IMT
