Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas is keen on filing charges against those spreading false information to taint his name.
“Tanan na lang na ubrahon sang mga desperate. May ara man gani sample ballot nga lain akon congressman, may ara man kulang akon konsehal. Tanan na lang obrahon nila,” the releectionist mayor said.
Treñas has already sought the help of the Cybercrime Division of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to indentify the people responsible for spreading “fake news” about him.
The mayor said he eyeing to pursue legal action after the May 9 national and local elections.IMT
