Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas is planning to develop a “bagsakan” market in La Paz district.
Last week, Treñas visited the proposed site of the new facility in Barangay Ticud.
“This location is a great place since it is accessible and could help decongest the city,” he said.
“By upgrading our public facilities, we give our people a better and more comfortable lifestyle,” the mayor added.
Treñas clarified that the exisiting La Paz Public Market in Barangay Railway, which houses the famous Madge Café and Netong’s Speacial La Paz Batchoy, will not be demolished and replaced with the proposed “bagsakan” market.IMT
