Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas has commended Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks for winning the Miss Eco International 2025 crown.
“You have made the whole country proud especially Iloilo!” Treñas wrote on Facebook after the coronation night in Egypt on April 20 (Manila time).
“From Iloilo to the global spotlight, you’ve shown the world the strength, grace, and brilliance of a modern Filipina. Your victory is a triumph for every Ilonggo who dares to dream big,” he added.
Brooks, who was crowned Miss Iloilo in 2024, represented the Philippines in the international pageant.
The native of Leon town in Iloilo province is the third Filipino to win the title after Cynthia Tomalla (2018) and Kathleen Paton (2022).IMT
