Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas has reacted to the remarks made by the Dutertes about the enforcement of warrants of arrest against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
Vice President Sara Duterte, Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte and former president Rodrigo Duterte — known allies of Quiboloy — criticized the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) ongoing operations at the 30-hectare KOJC compound.
In a press conference, Treñas said: “To a certain extent I feel that [the Dutertes] are irrelevant.”
According to the mayor, the arrest warrants issued against Quiboloy and his colleagues, who are wanted for child and sexual abuse and human trafficking, should be implemented.
“You just have to follow the law. There is a warrant of arrest that has been issued,” he said.IMT
