Treñas to deliver SOCA on August 30

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas is set to deliver his 2024 State of the City Address (SOCA) on Aug. 30.

Treñas, during Monday’s (Aug. 19) press conference, said his SOCA will be a clear statement of what have been done and where the city is heading.

“We have done a lot and I am very proud of the employees, department heads and the Ilonggos who have done a lot for Iloilo in the past year. But we still have so much to do,” Treñas told the City Hall press.

He also cited the redevelopment of city-run public markets and plazas as among the city’s biggest accomplishments.

The mayor also announced that additional funding of P300-million for the three public markets namely Jaro, La Paz and Arevalo Public Markets which hopefully will be completed end of this year.

He added that works for the completion of the city-funded improvement of the public plazas are also ongoing.Iloilo City PIO
