The Tultugan Festival of Maasin, Iloilo will be joining this year’s Aliwan Fiesta, the biggest and grandest gathering of the best festivals in the country.
The participation of Tultugan in Aliwan this coming April in Manila was confirmed by Mayor Francis Amboy.
Tultugan was declared the grand winner of the recently concluded Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan, one of the highlights of Iloilo City’s Dinagyang Festival.
The festival took home a cash prize of P500,000 and a trophy. It also received P10 million worth of projects from Uswag Ilonggo Party-list Representative Jojo Ang.
In a press conference, Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. assured that the provincial government will support the Tultugan Festival.
The Tultugan Festival is held every December in the town of Maasin, the bamboo capital of Panay.IMT
