Should he win the race for Iloilo’s vice gubernatorial seat next year, Congressman Raul “Boboy” Tupas said he will prioritize agriculture, tourism, and technology to further boost the province’s economy.

“Importante gid ang pagpasanyog sang agrikultura, turismo kag teknolohiya kay amo ni sila ang driver[s] sang ginatawag nga economic growth,” according to the Fifth District representative.

Tupas believes that strengthening the province’s agriculture and tourism industries as well as embracing technological advancements will spur livelihood and employment opportunities for Ilonggos.

The lawmaker also vowed to intensify focus on initiatives that seek to improve the delivery of services to the public.

“Pareho sa paghimo sang ISO or [quality management system] standards pareho sa iban nga nasyon para magnami ang serbiyo kay may ginsunod nga standards,” Tupas said.

“Example sa delivery of services sa aton district hospitals. Ano bala ang himuon sang mga doctor, admin officer and utility personnel. Paano nila amomahon ang aton mga pumuluyo nga nagapangayo bulig,” he further said.

Despite not being chosen as incumbent Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.’s  running mate in the 2025 polls, Tupas assured support to Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.’s programs, especially those that provide scholarship grants to students.

“Ang aton pinaka-importante nga asset amo ang aton mga pumuluyo. [Masupport kita] nga magpadayon ang scholarship program para mahatagan sang maayo nga buwas damlag ang masunod nga henerasyon,” he said. IMT
