Vice gubernatorial candidate Raul “Boboy” Tupas is grateful that he is welcome to visit towns in the Second and Third Districts of Iloilo province.

In a radio interview, Tupas said he appreciates the warm reception that he’s getting from residents and  officials in the Third District.

The Third District, a known bailiwick of Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr., is composed of the towns of Badiangan, Bingawan, Cabatuan, Calinog, Janiuay, Lambunao, Maasin, Mina and Pototan.

Tupas thanked Defensor for his continued trust in him, despite belonging to different political parties.

“In the end, ang mga tawu ang magapili kag indi naton sila mapilit ukon mapunggan,” said Tupas, who is running under Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD).

The lawmaker also expressed gratitude to Congressman Mike Gorriceta after assuring him that the Second District’s doors are always for his team.

The Second District is made up of the towns of Alimodian, Leganes, Leon, New Lucena, Pavia, San Miguel, Sta. Barbara and Zarraga.

According to the incumbent Fifth District congressman, it is important to reach out and listen to the needs of the people from different towns.

Based on the recent Random Access Consultants, Inc. (RACI) survey, Tupas emerged as the most preferred vice gubernatorial candidate of the Ilonggos.
