Congressman and vice gubernatorial candidate Raul “Boboy” Tupas thanked Ilonggos for their continued trust and unwavering support.
In a radio interview, the Fifth District representative said he is grateful for the warm reception he receives every time he attends events in the province.
This, amid information that several mayors and barangay officials were instructed to prohibit Tupas from attending and delivering messages during programs.
“I’m really grateful nga wala man ‘ko nila ginatabog biskan ginadumilian na sila (officials) nga imbitahon ako,” the lawmaker said.
The supposed move, according to Tupas, is a “political strategy” of his opponent, especially as the 2025 midterm polls draw near.
Despite this, Tupas assured that other candidates for next year’s elections — both his political allies and rivals — are welcome to visit and join activities in the province’s Fifth District.IMT
