The Department of Health (DOH-6) reported on Saturday, June 20, 13 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Western Visayas.
This was the highest number of new cases recorded in a single day in the region.
The latest cases involved five overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and eight locally stranded individual (LSIs).
Majority of the new COVID-19 patients are from Negros Occidental with nine and one each from Iloilo City, Iloilo province, Bacolod City, and Capiz.
The new cases brought the region-wide tally to 177, including 109 recoveries and 11 deaths.
