An alumna of West Visayas State University (WVSU) in Iloilo City has emerged as topnotcher in the September 2021 Physician Licensure Examination.

Maria Inez Sellado Benedicto of La Carlota City in Negros Occidental had a passing rate of 87.83 percent.

She shared the top spot with Jude Philip Pozon Cebrecus, a graduate of Cebu Institute of Medicine.

Below is the complete list of the top ten successful examinees:

A total of 1,084 out of 1,546 passed the exam given by the Board of Medicine in Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga this month.

In September 2015, Benedicto also made it to the top 10 of the board examination for Medical Technology. She ranked seventh.

Meanwhile, WVSU was among the top performing schools with a passing rate of 90 percent (72 of 80 passed).IMT
