West Visayas State University (WVSU) made it to the list of Top Performing Schools in the September 2019 Licensure Examination for Teachers (elementary level).
The school in La Paz district, Iloilo City ranked fourth with a passing rate of 89.18 percent.
A total of 28, 973 elementary teachers out of 92,440 examinees passed the board exam given last September 29 in 29 testing centers all over the Philippines, Hong Kong and Thailand.
In the secondary level, 54,179 teachers out of 136,523 examinees made the cut.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), of the 28,973 elementary teacher passers, 24,066 were first timers and 4,907 were repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 48,447 passers were first timers and 5,732 were repeaters.
